Boom Gate – Ndasingane Beach
Please note that permits for the private road to Ndasingane Beach are exclusively available to Bazley residents. When purchasing a permit from Mac Nicol’s Caravan Park, your residency status will be verified in our database.
Taamie our boom guard will be on duty daily during the holiday season as well as on long weekends from 07:30 to 15:00.

Mac Nicol’s Caravan Park
The little shop at the caravan park is your go-to spot for essentials—and treats! Stock up on ice cream, beverages, and more, or visit the well-stocked bottle store for ice-cold beers.
Feeling hungry? The shop also offers a fantastic takeaway menu during the holiday season as well as on long weekends:
Breakfast: Enjoy delicious bacon and egg rolls from 08:30 to 09:30 daily.
Lunch: A variety of takeaway options are available from 12:00 to 14:30, with daily specials advertised on the board outside.
Whether you’re stocking up or grabbing a quick bite, the caravan park shop has you covered.
The shop will be open daily during the holiday season, from 08:15 to 16:30.

Dogs in Bazley
Bazley gets wonderfully busy over the holiday season, so we ask all residents and guests to follow a few simple dog guidelines. Dogs must be on a leash in the village and may not roam freely. On the beach, dogs may be off-lead before 8 AM and after 4 PM, but must be leashed during the day when beaches are busiest. Please keep your dog under control, clean up after them, and be mindful of our conservancy wildlife. With a little consideration, everyone — two-legged and four-legged — can enjoy a safe and happy holiday in Bazley.
On the roads
In Bazley, the speed limit is 40km/h, and we ask everyone to respect it at all times. Our roads are narrow, with pedestrians and wildlife frequently sharing the space. Please drive cautiously, especially around narrow bends, to ensure the safety of all.
Bazley is a firework-free conservancy
As a protected conservancy, Bazley is strictly a firework-free zone. Fireworks disturb wildlife, stress pets, and pose a fire hazard. Help us keep Bazley peaceful and safe by respecting this rule.
On the beach
Signs at the entrance to each beach outline the bylaws, designed to keep Bazley’s beaches safe and enjoyable for everyone. We kindly ask all holidaymakers to follow them.
For added safety, our friendly beach warden, Stembiso, patrols the area to assist holidaymakers and ensure the rules are followed. If you spot him on the beach, don’t forget to say hello!
Recreational Fishing Licences
Planning to fish during your stay in Bazley? Please remember that a valid recreational fishing licence is required for anyone fishing in South African coastal waters.
The good news is that you can now apply for and pay for your fishing licence online.

Holiday Snake Safety Tips
Snake encounters in Bazley are uncommon, but with more time spent outdoors over the holidays, it’s worth taking a few simple precautions. Avoid walking barefoot, always use a torch at night, and never attempt to handle or kill a snake — this is when most bites occur. If you do find a snake on your property, our local snake catcher, Rhys Jones (078 381 6526), can assist for a R350 call-out.
