All nine cameras in Bazley are now actively monitored by Gladiator Security.

• Two at Bazley’s main entrance
• Four at Mac Nicols railway crossing
• Two on Ridge Road
• One facing Reservoir Road

Compliance signage will be displayed on each pole housing cameras. Please note that the cameras only view public spaces, and none of the cameras have coverage of any private properties. Additional cameras will be considered if deemed necessary depending on the budget.

A real-life example of the effectiveness of camera surveillance has already been experienced first-hand. While I was busy cleaning the lenses on the cameras down at Mac Nichols with one of my long fishing rods and a cloth wrapped on the tip of the rod, I received a call from Gladiator informing me that someone with a pole was interfering with the cameras. They did not know that it was me cleaning the lenses. I told them I was super impressed that they had contacted me so speedily and noticed this unusual behavior.

There is a one-time setup cost of R550 per camera, and then there is a monthly cost of R285 per camera per month to be monitored by Gladiator.

If you would like to adopt a camera and cover the monthly monitoring cost, please let us know, as this would assist and require less funding from our existing budget. One homeowner has already committed to contributing, thank you.
