Everything You Need to Know About the New 2025/26 Bazley Beach Permits
Beach permits and keys for Ndasingane for the 2025/26 season will be available for purchase and collection from Monday, 1 September 2025 at Mac Nicol’s Caravan Resort.
Costs
The cost of the 2025/26 beach permit remains unchanged from last year:
- Permit and key set: R600
- With old key returned: R500
- Lost key replacement fee: Additional R100
Payment may only be made by debit or credit card.

Road safety reminder
During or after heavy rain, access to Ndasingane by road is strongly discouraged. If you choose to drive down in muddy conditions and get stuck, neither Illovo nor the Bazley Residents Association (B.R.A.) will assist. You will need to contact and pay for a tow truck to recover your vehicle.
Key details about the Ndasingane Beach Permit
Ndasingane Beach is public
The beach itself is open to all, but the road leading to it is private, passing through Illovo Sugar property. Only vehicles with a valid beach permit may use this access road.
Access control
In line with our agreement with Illovo, the B.R.A. appoints a boom guard to manage access. The guard is on duty during weekends and school holidays from 7:30 to 15:00. For off-season visits, you’ll need to use your key to unlock the boom gate. Please ensure that you lock the gate after entering and exiting.
Permits for residents only
Beach permits are exclusively available to Bazley residents. When purchasing from Mac Nicol’s Caravan Resort, your residency status will be confirmed on our database.
One car per permit
Each permit allows access for one vehicle only. Please do not put our boom guard in a difficult position by requesting access without a permit – he has been instructed to enforce these rules strictly.

When visiting Ndasingane – or any of Bazley’s beautiful beaches – please remember to leave only your footprints behind. We encourage everyone to play their part in keeping our coastline clean and unspoilt. Consider carrying a small bag on your beach walks to collect any litter that may have washed ashore. Together, we can ensure Bazley’s beaches remain a treasure for all to enjoy.
