Shangrila Market – A Special Mother’s Day Gathering in Bazley
The Bazley Residents Association (B.R.A.) is delighted to invite residents, friends, and visitors to the Shangrila Market, taking place on Sunday 10 May from 09h30 to 14h00.
Set in the beautifully landscaped gardens of Shangrila, overlooking the ocean, this much-loved market promises a relaxed and enjoyable morning in one of Bazley’s most special settings.
With Mother’s Day weekend falling at the same time, it is the perfect opportunity to spend a few unhurried hours with family, spoil Mom, and enjoy everything our community has to offer.
A Morning to Enjoy
Visitors can look forward to a variety of offerings, including picnic hampers to enjoy in the gardens or down at the beach, coffee and homemade treats, a gin and craft beer garden, local crafts and handmade goods, and live music throughout the morning.
Whether you are browsing the stalls, catching up with neighbours, or simply soaking up the views, the Shangrila Market is all about enjoying Bazley at its best.

You’ll also be able to enjoy one of our freshly prepared picnic hampers, perfect for relaxing in the gardens or taking down to the beach.
All items are homemade and prepared fresh on the day.

Supporting a Worthwhile Cause
This market marks the first in a series of Shangrila Markets planned throughout the year, aimed at raising funds to support the ongoing work of the Bazley Conservancy.
Future market dates have already been set for:
- 19 July
- 23 August
- 20 September
These events will play an important role in ensuring that the Conservancy can continue with its vital work in protecting and preserving the natural environment that makes our village so special, including the removal of alien invasive plants and the protection of local wildlife.
In addition, proceeds from the May market will also support Pevensey Place, a residential home that provides lifelong care and support for adults living with cerebral palsy.

Each stallholder will also be featured on the Bazley website, including a photo, short write-up and contact details — giving you exposure to our homeowner community beyond the day of the market.
