Your Kindness at Work: Helping Siboniso on His Road to Recovery
Following the B.R.A.’s recent appeal for assistance after Siboniso Ngubo’s serious accident, we have been deeply moved by the generosity of our community. Thanks to your kindness, over R10 000 has already been raised to support him during his period of convalescence.
Siboniso was a valuable member of the B.R.A. team — clearing invasive species, cleaning our beaches, and more recently being trained to assist the snare team, where he had begun to make a meaningful contribution in locating and removing snares.
Siboniso has been in hospital since his fall in September, which left him partially paralysed. The good news is that he is slowly beginning to regain some movement, and with the correct treatment we hope that he will eventually recover full mobility. He has a long and arduous journey ahead of him.
To support him through this, the B.R.A. has created a dedicated fund to manage all contributions responsibly and ensure that Siboniso receives the assistance he needs each month throughout his recovery. We have informed his mother, Dorris, of the amount raised so far, and she has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed.
We are committed to transparency and will keep the community updated on Siboniso’s progress and how the fund is being used to assist him.
