Supporting the BRA: A Call to Action for Guest House Owners
As a proud homeowner in Bazley as well as an owner of a guest house, I fully recognise the invaluable role the Bazley Residents Association (BRA) plays in maintaining and uplifting our beautiful village. The initiatives spearheaded by the BRA contribute directly to a positive experience for my guests, fostering favourable reviews and repeat visits, which are essential for my business.
Given that the BRA incurs monthly staff costs of R12,000 to maintain our village, I recently reached out to fellow guest house owners to encourage those not yet supporting the BRA to consider doing so. Their businesses, after all, directly benefit from the contributions made by other Bazley residents.
I was very grateful for the positive response I received from this initiative and would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the guest houses that support the BRA – see table below.
To those guest house owners who have not yet pledged their support, I kindly ask you to reconsider. By supporting the BRA, you are not only investing in the betterment of our village but also ensuring a thriving environment for your guests and, ultimately, your business.
Here are some of the initiatives spearheaded by the BRA which contribute directly to the success of my business:
Maintaining clean beaches: Our dedicated efforts ensure that Bazley’s beautiful beaches remain clean and attractive to visitors. This is one of the major draws for those coming to Bazley.
Enhancing security: Our state-of-the-art security camera network, monitored by Gladiator Security, provides a secure environment for residents and guests alike. No guest will return or leave a favourable review if they have a negative experience with security. Our cameras were costly to install and incur monthly charges.
Ensuring road safety: Regular maintenance of our roads by guarantees safe and comfortable travel within our village.
Managing the private road to Ndasingane beach: We ensure that this beach sanctuary remains well-maintained for visitors to Bazley.
Preserving natural beauty: By removing invasive plants and promoting indigenous flora, we attract diverse wildlife, enhancing Bazley’s appeal to nature lovers.
Improving visitor experience: Clear and informative beach signage improves visitor experience and safety.
